"Al-Bassat": Launching an Advanced Digital Stage Towards Comprehensive Automation

The Minister of Economy and Trade, “Amer Al-Bisat,” reported the launch of a new and advanced phase of digitizing the services provided by the Ministry of Economy and Trade, within the framework of the Ministry’s endeavor to simplify procedures, reduce time and administrative costs, and enhance the principle of transparency.

In a statement, “Al-Bisat” indicated that a wide range of services has become fully available electronically, including “consumer complaints” and services for professionals working in gas stations and tankers, in addition to requests for “re-analysis of goods” and “customs data” transactions, along with a range of services related to commercial institutions, publishing houses, and exhibitions.

The Minister called on citizens and concerned parties to submit their requests exclusively through the following digital platforms:

He also announced that “intellectual property” services will be fully available electronically during the first quarter of 2026, noting that starting from “February 1, 2026,” electronic submission will be exclusively adopted for all these services.

In conclusion, “Al-Bisat” affirmed the Ministry’s continued commitment to developing its services and improving the citizens’ experience, and urged them to use the smart application to submit complaints, and called on professionals and business owners to take advantage of the available electronic services, explaining that more than twenty services are now fully automated, including the services of the “Consumer Protection” directorate and some services of the Trade Department, especially those related to organizing “exhibitions and markets in Lebanon and abroad.”
