Apple is expected to launch an enhanced version of its voice assistant “Siri” in the spring of 2026, coinciding with the release of the “iOS 26.4” update, after years of delays due to the complexities of developing artificial intelligence features.
Analysts monitoring Apple updates and code analysis predict that this update will be released in late March or early April of 2026, with a possible beta release for developers in February.
Apple had previously promised a radical update to “Siri,” including an understanding of the user’s personal context and deeper interaction with applications, but these features have been delayed several times. The company has officially confirmed that some of these capabilities will appear during 2026.
Experts believe that the reason for this delay lies in the difficulty of integrating advanced artificial intelligence models within the “Siri” architecture, in light of the intense competition from tools such as “ChatGPT” and “Gemini.”
The new “Siri” is expected to enable more intelligent interaction through large language models, with the ability to understand user needs and execute precise commands, including taking actions within applications without direct intervention, which enhances the role of the voice assistant in the Apple ecosystem.
Despite these timeline expectations, Apple remains conservative about the final release date, pending completion of testing and ensuring quality performance before the official announcement.
