ضوء أخضر أمريكي: تل أبيب تهدد بعملية عسكرية كبيرة ضد "حزب الله"

Israeli Channel 12, quoting a senior Israeli official, announced that a large-scale military operation against Hezbollah in Lebanon has become imminent.

In a related context, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told his ministers that they had received implicit American approval to carry out a military operation in Lebanon.

This information comes amid warnings issued by Israeli media about the possibility of further military escalation on the Lebanese front, if there is no what it described as a “tangible change” in the behavior of Hezbollah or in the performance of the Lebanese state, with indications that Israel has been granted limited political and military maneuvering space to continue its operations.

In this context, the “Walla” website quoted an Israeli security source as saying: “The failure to change the existing reality may push Israel to increase the pace of attacks on Lebanon,” and at the same time indicated that “Israel has no intention of dismantling the five military sites established by the Israeli army inside Lebanese territory,” referring to the forward positions established near the southern border.

Similarly, Haaretz newspaper, based on informed sources, stated that US President Donald Trump informed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he had granted him a “limited margin” to carry out a military operation against Hezbollah, within a specific time and political framework, in order to avoid a deterioration towards an all-out war in the region.
