With the start of the new year, the inspection teams of the Economy Directorate in the South began a series of field tours targeting food stores, in addition to following up on complaints submitted by citizens against generator owners. These efforts resulted in the issuance of 8 violation reports against the violators, and the withdrawal of 4 samples of milk and cheese for analysis.
The violations included: non-compliance of a generator owner in the Al-Shahabiya area with the “official fixed subscription fee,” and the violation of another generator owner in Al-Hilaliyah of the “official kilowatt price and fixed subscription fee.”
Regarding foodstuffs, violations were recorded in 6 mini-markets for selling loose milk and cheese, due to their non-compliance with the decision of “mandatory packaging and wrapping.”
Four samples being promoted via the “TikTok” application as “milk, labneh, and cheese” and sold inside the mini-markets were also withdrawn, and after examination, they turned out to be “food preparations.” (National Agency)
