تسجيل أول حالة تفشٍّ لأنفلونزا الطيور في إسرائيل منذ عام

The World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) has announced a new outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 in a farm located in northern Israel.

This outbreak, the first of its kind in Israel in a year, was detected in a flock of 2,000 ducks in the village of “Sde Ya’akov.” According to a statement from the Paris-based organization, based on a report from Israeli authorities, the outbreak resulted in the death of 90 birds.

The remaining birds were culled as a preventive and precautionary measure.

Global Concerns About Bird Flu

The spread of avian influenza is causing concern among governments and the poultry industry, especially after the severe damage to poultry flocks around the world in recent years, disrupting supplies, raising food prices, and increasing the potential for transmission to humans.
