رستم يغادر "الاعتدال الوطني": تحرك سياسي مدروس

In an official statement, MP Ahmed Rostom announced his resignation from the “National Moderation” bloc, stating: “When conviction becomes a burden within any political framework, and when differing visions become an infringement on the essence of what we believe in terms of values and standards, it becomes necessary to reposition in a way that preserves meaning before position. From here, I announce my withdrawal from the National Moderation bloc, in commitment to what I see as correct and responsible in the practice of public affairs.”

He added: “I embarked on this experience with a sincere intention that moderation be a political act, not a formal description, and that dignity remains a line that is not subject to interpretation or compromise. This decision does not carry any personal dimension, nor does it stem from a position of objection, but rather comes as a result of a calm reading of my national responsibilities, and my keenness to preserve my credibility before the people, and to protect the essence of political action from any ambiguity.”

He also affirmed: “In this context, I affirm that my connection with our people in Akkar is constant and unwavering, and that defending their issues and legitimate demands will remain at the core of my priorities, away from any organizational framework, and always close to the pulse of the people and their concerns.”

He concluded his statement by saying: “I leave this bloc with respect, and I wish my colleagues success, as I continue my journey in free national work, based on a firm conviction that politics that does not protect dignity loses its reason for existence.”
