وهاب: الفساد أطاح بـ"مادورو" قبل "ترامب" وليس الاعتقال

Through his account on the “X” platform, the head of the Arab Unification Party, Wiam Wahhab, made a remarkable comment about the fate of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, stressing that corruption, and not just American pressure, was the main reason for his downfall.

Wahhab stated: “I do not like gloating over a man who has become weak now, but just listen to the Arab immigrants to Venezuela to know the extent of the disaster caused by Maduro. He starved and impoverished the people and left the generals to loot the country’s wealth,” questioning why “people cling to rulers who contribute to the destruction of countries, not their reconstruction.”

He clarified that “no one can invoke the American siege on Venezuela, as the regime was selling gold and oil despite the sanctions, while the money was going to the gang,” considering that “the fall of Syria and then Venezuela is mainly due to corruption, then corruption, then corruption.”

Wahhab continued: “You cannot starve your people and then ask them to defend you,” wondering if “those who remain will learn from these lessons.”

In the context of comparison with other experiences, Wahhab pointed out that “Gaddafi collected money, as did Assad and Maduro, but they did not use it for the benefit of their people,” noting that “after the fall of Gaddafi, the new Libyan authorities found assets estimated at about $170 billion in global banks, and if this money had been used, no one would have been able to turn people against him.”

He concluded by saying: “When money becomes more important to the ruler than dignity, he ends up in shackles like Maduro, or killed like Gaddafi, or losing power like Assad. But who dares to speak to the ruler while he is in power? No one, because whoever speaks becomes the victim,” stressing that “the slogan of resistance alone does not protect countries, but rather development and building a real state,” describing Venezuela today as a “country of gangs.”
