Deputy “Hussein Al-Hajj Hassan,” head of the Baalbek-Hermel bloc, affirmed Lebanon’s complete commitment to the ceasefire since November 27, 2024. He pointed out the continuation of daily Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory, with direct support and management from the United States of America, stressing that the resistance is steadfast on the path of truth and will not deviate from it.
“Al-Hajj Hassan’s” statements came during a large chanting festival held by “Hezbollah” and the Holy Shrine of Sayyida Khawla (a.s.) on the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (a.s.), at the Shrine’s Hussainiya in Baalbek, in the presence of religious, popular, and party figures, and a large crowd of residents.
He explained that “the Zionist enemy is betting on pressure and blackmail,” warning against the misconception that making concessions to the Americans will be followed by any positive development, considering that this policy will only lead to more demands and retreat.
He stressed that the real sovereign position lies in stopping the aggression, withdrawing the occupation from the five points, releasing the prisoners, and allowing reconstruction, in addition to approving a national defense strategy. He called on the Lebanese government not to continue making concessions under pressure.
Regarding the American aggression against the sovereignty of Venezuela, “Al-Hajj Hassan” pointed out that the American President “Donald Trump” has admitted his ambitions in Venezuela’s oil and wealth, which reveals, in his words, the falsity of American claims about the freedom of peoples.
At the end of his speech, he greeted the resistance fighters, the families of the martyrs and the wounded, and the free people in Lebanon, Palestine, and the world, stressing adherence to the option of resistance and following the example of Imam Ali (a.s.) in truth and justice, and confronting the American-Israeli project in the region.
The festival included an chanting segment presented by the chanter “Hajj Ali Al-Attar” and his band, expressing love and loyalty to Imam Ali (a.s.), amidst an atmosphere of faith and loyal joy, in the celebration held on Saturday evening, January 3, 2026, with wide participation from various age groups.
