كتب النائب جميل السيد على حسابه في منصة “إكس”: “سألني أحد المتابعين،هل ستؤدي فضيحة “أبو عمر” إلى سقوط حكومة الرئيس سلام؟!”
ثم أضاف السيد موضحًا: “الجواب:أوّلاً: بحسب التحقيقات المنشورة، قام المدعو ” ابو عمر” بإجراء اتصالات هاتفية مع العديد من النواب، من بينهم النائب محمد سليمان من كتلة عكار وآخرون، مدعيًا كذبًا أن الديوان الملكي يلح عليهم لتسمية نواف سلام رئيسًا للحكومة بدلًا من ميقاتي أو مخزومي. ونتيجة لذلك، استجابت بعض الكتل والنواب لـ”ابو عمر” وتراجعوا عن دعمهم لميقاتي أو مخزومي، وقاموا بتسمية نواف سلام في اللحظة الأخيرة…”
وتابع السيد قائلاً: “ثانياً: فيما يتعلق بدور المجلس النيابي، وبما أن “ابو عمر” موقوف حاليًا لدى القضاء مع مشغّله رجل الدين المعروف، والتحقيقات جارية معهما وثبتت صحة ذلك، فإن الدستور يخول مجلس النواب الطلب من القضاء إحالة ملف “أبو عمر” إلى المجلس وفقًا للأصول، للنظر في تفاصيل تلك الخديعة. كما يمكن تشكيل لجنة تحقيق برلمانية لتحديد عدد الكتل والنواب الذين تم خداعهم. فإذا تبين أن عدد المخدوعين لم يؤثر على تسمية نواف سلام، فإنه يستمر في منصبه، وهذا هو السيناريو الأرجح. وإلا، فإنه يُدعى إلى الاستقالة…”
واختتم السيد تغريدته قائلًا: “وفي الحالتيْن، وكما قلت منذ أيّام، فإنّ فضيحة أبو عمر قد كشفت حجم الوطاوة في المجتمع السياسي اللبناني، وهذا ما ليس بجديد…”
MP Jamil El-Sayed wrote on his “X” platform account: “A follower asked me, will the “Abu Omar” scandal lead to the fall of President Salam’s government?!”
Then Mr. El-Sayed added, clarifying: “The answer: First: According to the published investigations, the so-called “Abu Omar” made phone calls to many MPs, including MP Muhammad Suleiman from the Akkar bloc and others, falsely claiming that the Royal Court was urging them to name Nawaf Salam as Prime Minister instead of Mikati or Makhzoumi. As a result, some blocs and MPs responded to “Abu Omar” and withdrew their support for Mikati or Makhzoumi, and named Nawaf Salam at the last moment…”
Mr. El-Sayed continued, saying: “Second: Regarding the role of Parliament, and since “Abu Omar” is currently detained by the judiciary along with his operator, the well-known cleric, and investigations are underway with them and this has been proven true, the constitution authorizes Parliament to request the judiciary to refer the “Abu Omar” file to Parliament in accordance with the regulations, to consider the details of that deception. A parliamentary committee of inquiry can also be formed to determine the number of blocs and deputies who were deceived. If it turns out that the number of those deceived did not affect the naming of Nawaf Salam, then he continues in his position, and this is the most likely scenario. Otherwise, he is called to resign…”
Mr. El-Sayed concluded his tweet by saying: “In both cases, as I said days ago, the Abu Omar scandal has revealed the extent of servility in Lebanese political society, and this is nothing new…”
