The President of the Republic, General “Joseph Aoun,” received a set of detailed statements and information from various military and security agencies, in addition to the Civil Defense and the Lebanese Red Cross, regarding the general situation in the country. These reports showed that the New Year’s celebrations passed in complete peace and tranquility, thanks to the strict security measures taken by the Lebanese army and the rest of the security forces throughout Lebanon. No traffic accidents of significance were recorded.
On this occasion, President “Aoun” expressed his sincere congratulations to all military and security agencies and ambulance teams for their success in implementing security plans and measures. He praised the high level of cooperation and coordination among them, which contributed greatly to providing a safe and stable environment to celebrate the New Year in peace.
The President of the Republic also took this opportunity to express his hope that 2026 will be a year full of goodness, safety, and stability, and that the hopes and aspirations of the Lebanese people will be achieved in a prosperous and dear homeland. He also wished that the “bleeding southern wound” would heal, that the residents of the southern villages would return to their homes in safety and security, that the Lebanese army would be able to extend its full sovereignty along the “southern borders,” and that all “prisoners” would be released.
