تعيين سفير إيراني جديد في بيروت و"بقائي" يوضح

Ismail Baghaei, the official spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that diplomatic relations between Tehran and Beirut are continuing as usual. He confirmed that all necessary administrative procedures for the appointment of the new Iranian ambassador to Lebanon have been “completed,” and that he will begin his duties in the Lebanese capital soon.

Baghaei added that the Lebanese ambassador to Iran will present his official credentials today, stressing that relations between the two countries are proceeding within the usual diplomatic framework. The spokesperson did not disclose the name of the new Iranian ambassador to Beirut.

It is worth noting that Mojtaba Amani currently holds the position of Iranian ambassador to Lebanon, and he was injured in his eye and leg during an Israeli operation targeting the “beepers” used by Hezbollah members in mid-September 2024.
