On the occasion of the New Year, the Mukhtar of the town of Al-Nabi Sheet, Mr. Abbas Ali Daher, launched an urgent appeal to the Lebanese Prime Minister, Judge Nawaf Salam, requesting him to dedicate full attention and efforts to the issue of the disappearance of his brother, retired Captain Ahmed Shokr.

In the details of his statement, Daher explained that he places this issue as a trust in the hands of the Prime Minister, wishing him, within the framework of his constitutional powers and national responsibilities, to provide assistance in revealing the fate of his brother and working to release him wherever he may be. He attributed this to his confidence in the role of the Prime Minister in strengthening the rule of law and institutions, his concern for preserving the rights and dignity of citizens, and following up on humanitarian and national issues that touch the feelings of the Lebanese.

The Mukhtar of Al-Nabi Sheet stressed his absolute commitment to the Lebanese state and its constitutional institutions, expressing his hope that this humanitarian issue will receive the appropriate care and attention from officials, given its profound impact on the family of the missing person and on all those who believe in justice, rights, and the rule of law.

The statement concluded by wishing Prime Minister Nawaf Salam continued health and well-being, and success in performing his national duties, in a way that benefits Lebanon and its people, with sincere respect and appreciation.
