دار الفتوى: "قضية الأمير المزعوم بعهدة القضاء" ولا نقبل حملات التشويه

The Media Office at Dar al-Fatwa issued a statement clarifying that “the case of the alleged prince and the pursuit of everyone involved is the responsibility of the judiciary, and that the arrests being made for investigation do not involve Dar al-Fatwa or the Mufti of the Lebanese Republic in any way, shape, or form,” confirming that the person whose name is being circulated in this regard “is not an employee of Dar al-Fatwa or any of its affiliated institutions.”

The Media Office also expressed “deep regret and strong condemnation” regarding some statements that it described as “unbecoming of the position of the Mufti of the Lebanese Republic or the status of Dar al-Fatwa and the role of the Supreme Islamic Sharia Council,” reminding that the Council “has always been and will remain a proponent of Islamic and national positions.”

The statement affirmed that “the programmed campaign of slander, defamation, and falsehoods contradicts the ethics of dealing with Dar al-Fatwa, which knows very well its rights and obligations, and follows up on issues carefully and deliberately,” expressing its surprise at “the decline in the level of discourse” in this matter.

At the end of the statement, the Media Office warned of “the danger of using the concept of freedom to undermine the message of Dar al-Fatwa,” stressing its commitment to its religious and national approach, and protecting its role and status.
