The Minister of Tourism, Laura Lahoud, extended a warm greeting to all Lebanese residents inside and outside the country, as well as to everyone who came to Lebanon and discovered the splendor of its nature and beauty, stressing that Lebanon will remain a country worth visiting and loving despite the difficulties and challenges.
In a video clip, Lahoud considered 2025 to be a pivotal and fundamental year for Lebanon, explaining that efforts during this period were focused on supporting stability, because tourism cannot grow and develop in the absence of a stable environment.
She indicated that the government’s most important goal is to put the country on the path of sustainable growth, especially in the tourism sector, noting that tourism statistics in Lebanon during 2025 were optimistic, and stood out especially during the summer, in addition to the period of the Pope’s visit to Lebanon.
She also pointed out that the tourism movement gained additional momentum during the Christmas and New Year period, which reflects the gradual recovery of confidence in Lebanon as a distinct tourist destination.
Regarding future plans, the Minister of Tourism stressed that efforts will be doubled during 2026, with the aim of developing the level of quality in all sectors related to tourism, which will contribute to increasing the number of visitors and enhancing the image of Lebanon abroad.
Lahoud concluded by emphasizing that “Lebanon deserves it, and its people are capable,” wishing warm holidays and a new year carrying stability and real hope for a bright future for the Lebanese.
