الإمارات تعرب عن أسفها بشأن ما جاء في بيان السعودية

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Tuesday, expressed its complete rejection of linking the UAE’s name to the existing tensions between the Yemeni parties, expressing its dismay at the “fallacies” contained in a statement issued by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that “the UAE expresses its regret for what was stated in the statement of sisterly Saudi Arabia and what it contained of fundamental fallacies, and we categorically reject dragging the UAE’s name into the tension between the Yemeni parties.”

It added, “We denounce the allegations regarding directing any Yemeni party to carry out military operations that affect the security of sisterly Saudi Arabia, and we affirm our concern for the security and stability of sisterly Saudi Arabia and our full respect for its sovereignty and national security.”

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the brotherly relations with Saudi Arabia represent a fundamental pillar for the stability of the region, stressing its constant keenness to coordinate with the brothers in the Kingdom.

In مقابل, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed in a statement today its regret for what it described as the pressure exerted by the UAE on the Southern Transitional Council in Yemen.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry explained its “regret for the UAE’s pressure on the forces of the Transitional Council to push its forces to carry out military operations on the southern borders of Saudi Arabia in the governorates of Hadhramaut and Al-Mahra, which is a threat to the national security of the Kingdom, and to security and stability in Yemen and the region,” noting that “the steps taken by the UAE are extremely dangerous, and do not conform to the foundations on which the coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen was based, nor do they serve its efforts in achieving Yemen’s security and stability.”

The statement continued, explaining: “In this context, the Kingdom affirms that any harm or threat to its national security is a red line, and the Kingdom will not hesitate to take all necessary steps and measures to confront and neutralize it.”

The Saudi Foreign Ministry affirmed “the importance of the UAE’s response to Yemen’s request for its military forces to withdraw from the Republic of Yemen within twenty-four hours, and to stop any military or financial support to any party inside Yemen.”

This escalation comes after the coalition led by Saudi Arabia launched raids targeting what it described as external military support for the Transitional Council forces in the port of Mukalla.

The official spokesman for the coalition forces, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, stated that on Saturday and Sunday (December 27-28, 2025), two ships coming from the UAE port of Fujairah entered the port of Mukalla without obtaining “official permits from the joint forces command of the coalition.”

In a related context, the head of the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen, Rashad Al-Alimi, announced a state of emergency for 90 days, stressing “his determination to protect civilians and correct the course of the partnership within the coalition to support legitimacy.”

Al-Alimi also announced a air, sea and land blockade on ports in Yemen for 72 hours, with the exception of “coalition permits.”

In another development, Al-Alimi issued a decision on Tuesday “to cancel the joint defense agreement with the United Arab Emirates”, and gave “all UAE forces and personnel 24 hours to leave all Yemeni territory.”
