Brahim Diaz

Real Madrid has rushed to take serious steps to secure the future of its Moroccan star, Brahim Diaz, with a new contract this season.

Diaz’s current contract with Real Madrid expires in the summer of 2027, but the club’s management fears the temptations of major European clubs, as well as tempting offers from the Saudi Roshan League.

According to the Spanish radio station “Cadena SER,” well-informed sources have confirmed that an agreement to extend Diaz’s contract until 2030 has already been reached, but the club is asking everyone to keep the matter confidential, while the Moroccan player’s representatives want to respect this agreement.

Sources inside Real Madrid clarified that the contract has not yet been signed, but negotiations between the two parties were smooth and quick.

The Spanish radio station also indicated that the only concern for Real Madrid’s management lies in the fact that no official agreement has been signed yet, especially since Diaz has offers from European and Saudi clubs.

Diaz aspires to get more playing minutes, and to have a more important role within the ranks of Real Madrid this season.

These moves come in light of the unstable situation that Diaz is experiencing in Real Madrid, as his situation has not changed much this season under the leadership of Xabi Alonso compared to what it was as a substitute player under the supervision of Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Diaz has participated in 18 matches (scoring one goal and making two assists), but he has started in only 7 matches, for a total of 484 minutes played (an average of approximately 27 minutes per match).
