مشاورات إيرانية سعودية حول الوضع في لبنان بين "عراقجي" و"بن فرحان"

The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as the latest regional and international developments, in a phone call with his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan.

During the call, Araqchi touched on the ongoing events in southern Yemen, stressing “the importance of Yemen’s unity and territory and the necessity of implementing the road map.”

He also condemned “the attacks carried out by Israel against Lebanon,” stressing “the responsibility of the international community, especially the parties guaranteeing the ceasefire, to put an end to the aggression and stop the violations against the Lebanese people.”

In return, the Saudi Foreign Minister stressed “the necessity of holding Israel accountable,” while pointing to “the importance of continuing consultation and cooperation between the countries of the region in a way that preserves peace and stability.”

It is noteworthy that Riyadh and Tehran renewed, during a tripartite meeting with China on December 9, “their commitment to implement all provisions of the Beijing Agreement of 2023, and to continuously work to strengthen good neighborly relations, based on the Charter of the United Nations, the Charter of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and international law.”
