Deputy Hassan Ezzedine, a member of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, affirmed that the continuous violations of Lebanese airspace are conclusive proof that Israel is exceeding all limits and norms, violating the laws of war stipulated by international law, in addition to ignoring humanitarian charters and United Nations resolutions related to human rights.
Ezzedine’s statement came during the opening of the “First Exhibition of Local Provisions and Handicrafts,” organized by the Municipality of Al-Abbasiya Al-Janubiya in the Korea Market in the Jall Al-Bahr area, in the presence of a number of figures and activities, along with heads of municipalities, mukhtars, and representatives of national parties and forces, and a public presence from the local community.
Ezzedine pointed out that Israel has never adhered to any agreement, explaining that Lebanon signed an agreement and adhered to it, as did the Resistance, which adhered completely and did not fire a single bullet for more than a year. In contrast, Israeli attacks on land and sky, killings, destruction, and targeting of civilians and innocents continued, even to the point of striking the Lebanese economy and destroying its economic infrastructure, describing this as American performance, planning, and execution, considering that Israel is only a tool in the hands of the United States.
Regarding the so-called “Trump Economic City” on the Lebanese-Palestinian border, Ezzedine considered that this project does not aim to establish an industrial or tourist zone, but rather seeks to displace residents from their land, emphasizing that these projects will remain mere illusions for the owners of colonial projects who treat humans as numbers in commercial calculations, far from any human value.
He called on the Lebanese government to return to its agreed national priorities, foremost of which is stopping hostilities, restoring prisoners, and removing Israel from the points it still occupies and works to fortify daily, which confirms its intention not to withdraw from them.
He also called on the government not to offer any free concessions in any negotiating track, considering that the ongoing negotiations are in Israel’s interest, which is based on imposing conditions and dictates, demanding a firm and courageous government stance, and refusing to enter into any new negotiations before the implementation of previous agreements that Israel has not adhered to.
Ezzedine stressed the right of the people of the border villages and towns to return to their homes, lands, farms, and properties, considering that the land, olives, and tobacco are an integral part of the identity of the South, and emphasizing that the homeland is not a suitcase, and that the government is concerned with securing all the requirements for reconstruction and providing the necessary funding for it.
In conclusion, he saw that holding this exhibition represents a message of adherence to life, but with dignity, pride, national sovereignty, and an independent decision, considering that these activities constitute one of the aspects of the real resistance and enhance the steadfastness of the people in their land in the face of Israel’s attempts to execute life and prevent the return of residents to their villages.
