لبنان يرزح تحت تأثير منخفض جوي شديد

Lebanon and the Eastern Mediterranean region are affected by a low-pressure system coming from the Black Sea, carrying cold winds. As a result, the region will witness a noticeable and gradual decrease in temperatures during the coming days, accompanied by heavy rain, strong winds, thunderstorms, and snowfall.

In this context, a researcher specializing in meteorology and climate stated that the impact of this depression has already begun and is expected to peak today with heavy rainfall and a significant drop in temperatures. He added that snow will fall at an altitude of 1500 meters, then drop to about 1100 meters at dawn on Sunday with the arrival of the coldest air mass.

“Jaber” explained that the rain will continue until Sunday afternoon, before returning again on Monday and continuing for more than a day, accompanied by lightning, thunder, and large amounts of rain. “Jaber” stressed the importance of taking precautions, especially on mountain roads and high areas, due to the risk of slipping and low visibility.
