أبرز 5 ابتكارات لعام 2025 قيد الاكتشاف

TIME magazine published a list of the best inventions of 2025, and “Al Arabiya.net” selected some of the most influential in improving daily life and well-being:

1- Ultra-Agile Robot: Unlike most current robots, which differ from those in science fiction films, the “R1” robot from the Chinese company Unitree Robotics stands out. This programmable bipedal robot, launched in July for $5,900, is designed for researchers, educators, and software developers for artificial intelligence and robotics experiments.

The robot weighs 23 kilograms and features built-in artificial intelligence that supports voice recognition and image processing, and contains 26 joints. It has impressed the public with its ability to perform complex movements such as boxing, running, and even flipping.

2- Figure 03 Home Robot: The humanoid robot “Figure 03” seeks an ambitious goal, which is to build a machine in human form that can work in various sectors of the economy, including homes. Upon its launch in October, “Figure 03” was able to perform household tasks such as folding clothes and putting dishes in the dishwasher, but with some human assistance.

The company is collecting extensive data to train the robot’s “Helix” neural network to accomplish more tasks more efficiently. Brett Adcock, the CEO, points out that robotics is witnessing a similar development to digital artificial intelligence, which promises significant leaps in capabilities.

3- UV Printer: The innovative “EufyMake” printer relies on ultraviolet rays to quickly dry special ink on materials such as metal, wood, and acrylic. Thanks to the largest online crowdfunding campaign, this complex process is no longer limited to industrial environments. “EufyMake” raised about $47 million to develop the world’s first home “UV” printer, which is 90% smaller than traditional printers and can print three-dimensional textures on more than 300 materials.

The printer allows users to access millions of customizable design templates. Frank Zhu of Anker Innovations, the owner of the “Eufy” innovation, says: “[The innovative printer] enables hobbyists, small business owners, and entrepreneurs to customize their daily tools or even launch side projects.”

4- Revolutionary Artificial Intelligence Model: The sudden appearance of the advanced reasoning model “R1” from “DeepSeek” at the beginning of the year resonated widely in the field of artificial intelligence. Major technology companies have spent billions of dollars on projects, products, and infrastructure for generative artificial intelligence.

In contrast, the Chinese startup “DeepSeek” was able to develop a model that matches the quality of “OpenAI’s” most advanced product at the time, according to standard industry benchmarks, and with an expenditure of only $6 million. The “DeepSeek” model also used a fraction of the computing compared to its American competitors and remains free to use.

5- Deepfake Detection for Companies: The “Pindrop Pulse” application targets the growing threat of fraud through instant deepfakes. Vijay Balasubramanian, the CEO, says: “Identity, consent, and accountability are contracts of society. But deepfakes weaken these three elements.”

The “Pindrop” meeting application verifies the identity of the caller, whether via voice or video, and stops fraud within just two seconds of the start of the conversation. There is an urgent need for this application, as “Pindrop” found that deepfakes are becoming increasingly common in job interviews, culminating in a chief financial officer using deepfakes to cause fraudulent transfers of $25 million last year.

The “Pindrop” product is based on research from the Georgia Institute of Technology and has been successfully tested in major institutional deployments.
