With great sorrow, we announce the martyrdom of Inspector in General Security, Alaa Kamel Shehadeh, from the town of Mazboud in the Iqlim al-Kharroub region. He passed away due to injuries he sustained a week ago, as a result of an Israeli drone targeting a “pickup” truck on a public road in the town of Sblin, in the Chouf district.
It is reported that Shehadeh happened to be passing by the site of the raid while returning from his work in Beirut, where he sustained a serious head injury. He was subsequently transferred to Sblin Governmental Hospital, and then to Al-Roum Hospital in Beirut.
The funeral of the martyr Shehadeh will be held today in his town of Mazboud after the Asr prayer, and he will be buried in the town’s cemetery.
On the day of the raid, information reported the martyrdom of a person in the Israeli attack on Sblin, indicating that the martyr was named Hussein Qutaish.
Later, the Ministry of Health issued a statement announcing one martyr and five injuries, including First Sergeant Shehadeh, as a result of the Israeli raid.
It is worth noting that the Israeli raid targeted the Kou’ Sblin area, and hit a “pickup” vehicle that was used to transport water.
