سامسونغ تستعد للكشف عن ابتكار ثوري في هواتفها الذكية القابلة للطي

Samsung is planning to release a new generation of foldable smartphones, in an effort to diversify its products and counter the anticipated foldable Apple phone.

According to a report published by ETNEWS, the company is working on an internal device known as “Wide Fold,” which is likely to be unveiled in the second half of 2026. This device will have a different screen than those found in the “Galaxy Z Fold” and “Galaxy Z Flip” phones, after the company previously revealed the “Galaxy Z Tri-Fold” device, which features three screens.

The report explained that the phone’s internal screen will be 7.6 inches when opened, while the external screen will be 5.4 inches when closed, with an aspect ratio of 4:3, making it wider and more square compared to current “Galaxy Z Fold” phones. The report added that the specifications of the new phone are consistent with expectations for Apple’s first foldable iPhone, which is expected to launch in September 2026 with an open screen size of approximately 7.7 inches and an aspect ratio close to 4:3, suggesting potential competition if the two devices are launched in the same period.

Samsung usually announces its foldable phones during Galaxy summer events or in early autumn, which increases the possibility of launching the new phone alongside other “Galaxy” devices in 2026, as part of the company’s efforts to re-evaluate the future of foldable phones.
