OpenAI has announced the launch of a new feature in the “ChatGPT” application called “Your Year with ChatGPT,” designed to enable users to review their most important interactions with this intelligent robot throughout the year, in a manner similar to the famous Spotify Wrapped experience.
This feature analyzes user queries to identify the topics and ideas that have garnered their greatest interest. It then displays the results in a visually appealing way, awarding prizes and classifications that reflect the user’s interests and behavior, in addition to comparing them to other ChatGPT users. Furthermore, the feature creates an image using artificial intelligence that expresses the user’s interests during the past year.
To take advantage of this feature, users must activate the “Memory” and “Chat History” options, in addition to using the application a certain number of times. It should be noted that this feature is not available for team, organization, or educational accounts.
This step comes in the context of a general trend followed by tech companies to provide year-end summaries to their users, similar to Spotify Wrapped, YouTube Recap, Google Search, Apple Music, and Steam. Users have become keen to share these results on various social media platforms.
It is noted that the launch of this feature comes after a year full of developments for OpenAI, which witnessed the launch of the GPT-5 model and its local open-source model GPT-OSS, with diverse feedback from users. The feature is currently available in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, and can be accessed online and on mobile devices.
