Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, continued to follow up on development projects and services provided to citizens. Today, he received MP Shawki Daccache, in addition to a number of mayors, in the presence of the Director General of Land and Maritime Transport, Dr. Ahmed Tamer, and the Director of Roads and Buildings, Engineer Pierre Maalouf.

During the meeting, they discussed the maintenance of roads, providing the necessary support for infrastructure, and expediting the completion of priority municipal projects. They also addressed the problem of accumulated sand in the Akiba port, which hinders the work of fishing boats, in addition to the maintenance of the breakwater. Emphasis was placed on the need for continuous coordination between the ministry and municipalities to ensure the smooth running of work.

Minister Rasamny affirmed that “national responsibilities require dealing with these files with the utmost seriousness according to the available capabilities,” noting “the importance of the institutional approach and transparency in managing development work.”

At the end of the meeting, MP Daccache and the mayors praised the Minister’s response, stressing “the continuation of partnership and cooperation in the best interest of citizens,” and considered “his practical policies in activating municipal and development work as a model to be emulated.”

In addition, Minister Rasamny discussed with MP Adib Abdel Massih some development affairs of concern to specific areas that fall within the responsibility of the ministry, stressing “full attention to meeting needs according to available capabilities.”
