Real Madrid CF v RC Celta de Vigo - LaLiga EA Sports

Ramón Álvarez de Mon, a well-known media personality on Radio Marca, explained that the current situation at Real Madrid is very difficult, especially regarding the future of coach Xabi Alonso.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, De Mon said: “The truth is that the current scene at Real Madrid is disastrous in every sense of the word, completely disastrous. I don’t know if a final decision has been made regarding Alonso’s fate, and I don’t know if the coach is still fighting to stay in his position, but if so, he is doing so in the most difficult circumstances.”

He continued: “The circumstances are difficult because of the way the information was leaked that Alonso is testing his future against Alavés. Some say that he is not only testing his future, but that his fate is sealed even if he wins, and that Alonso will stop being the coach of Real Madrid.”

Then he added: “If Alonso passes this stage, he will face another test against Talavera, and if he does not succeed, his fate will be decided against Sevilla. In other words, we are facing a kind of difficult test, which if you do not pass it at some point, you will end up there.”

He continued: “This charged atmosphere, which naturally transfers to the dressing room, is the climate in which Alonso may play to maintain his position against Alavés, as if there is an execution platform in the public square, and everyone has been summoned at a specific time to see if the sentence will be carried out or not. I apologize for this analogy, but it is the most appropriate to describe the current situation.”

De Mon pointed out that: “Zidane has already gone through a similar experience, as well as other Real Madrid coaches. This is part of the nature of being in this club and its requirements and pressures. It is clear that this climate puts the coach in a very complicated position.”

He added: “Alonso’s next press conference will not be easy, because most of the questions, if not all, will focus on the same topic, and this is normal. However, if Xabi provides a comprehensive answer from the first question, the rest of the questions should be more creative. We will see how he deals with this first test.”

He confirmed: “I don’t think all this media hype is baseless, especially since Real Madrid itself has not tried to deny this information in any way… and this is remarkable.”

He concluded by saying: “I can assure you that when Real Madrid wants to deny news, they always find a journalist willing to convey this denial. The absence of a response to news published by a journalist close to the club (regarding Alonso’s imminent departure), and who even collaborates with Real Madrid’s television channel, seems like a deafening silence.”
