هيكل في باريس لبحث الأزمة اللبنانية... واحتمال مشاركة أمريكية وسعودية

Paris is scheduled to host a meeting dedicated to discussing the situation in Lebanon next week, according to Agence France-Presse (AFP).

According to agency sources, Lebanese Army Commander General Rudolph Hikel will participate in this meeting, along with officials from the United States of America.

According to one source, General Rudolph Hikel is expected to arrive in Paris on Wednesday. The same source indicated that US envoy Morgan Ortagus may participate in the meeting, but three other sources stated that her attendance is “not yet confirmed.”

Informed sources – all of whom requested anonymity – also reported that a Saudi official is likely to participate in the upcoming Paris meeting.

AFP clarified that this meeting comes before a new session of the committee tasked with monitoring the ceasefire in Lebanon, which is scheduled to be held on December 19.

This comes amid Israel’s continued violation of the declaration of cessation of hostilities in Lebanon issued on November 27, 2024, as well as its violations of Lebanese sovereignty and international law, through continuous attacks and raids in various regions of Lebanon.
