The Ministry of Communications issued a statement saying: “After the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority began its work on 6/10/2002, and after approximately 13 years since the issuance of the Telecommunications Law No. 431 on 23/7/2002, the Minister of Communications, Charbel El-Hajj, implemented the provisions of this law by issuing Decree No. 624/1 on 7/11/2025, which stipulates the transfer of files, granted licenses, and applications for licenses to the Authority, to which the powers have been transferred.”
The Ministry clarified that the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, for the first time since 2005, has established regulations regarding licensing procedures for telecommunications service providers, as well as regulations regarding how to manage radio frequency bands and licensing their use. These two regulations were published in the Official Gazette on 11/12/2025.
The Ministry also called on all concerned parties to contact the Authority at its headquarters in Beirut to view the details of the licensing files and all related procedures.
