فقدان الاتصال بمركبة مريخية تابعة لناسا منذ 6 كانون الأول

NASA has released a statement regarding the loss of contact with the spacecraft “MAVEN,” which orbits Mars with the aim of studying its atmosphere. The agency confirmed that it is making every effort to restore communication with the spacecraft from Earth.

NASA stated that all of the spacecraft’s equipment was functioning properly before it entered an orbit behind the Red Planet, but after emerging from the dark side of Mars on December 6, no signal was received from it. The team in charge is currently working to diagnose the fault and find a solution to it.

It is worth mentioning that the “MAVEN” mission focuses on studying the upper atmosphere and ionosphere of Mars, as well as the interaction between them and the sun and solar wind. This aims to understand how the planet lost its atmosphere. These studies provide NASA with valuable insights into the history of the Martian atmosphere, its climate, the availability of water, and its potential for supporting life.
