This new feature involves testing up to three different titles, or a combination of titles and thumbnails. YouTube displays these options equally to viewers for up to two weeks. After the trial period, the system automatically selects the combination that achieved the longest watch time.
This feature is not a completely new invention, but rather an extension of the thumbnail testing tool already available in YouTube Studio. Integrating title testing with thumbnails gives creators a greater opportunity to understand the ideal combination that enhances the reach of their videos.
In the event of no clear winner between the different options, YouTube will automatically apply the first combination uploaded by the creator. Additionally, the content creator can still override the test results and manually choose the title and thumbnail.
The A/B testing feature is only available through desktop computers. It can be used with public long-form videos, live stream archives, and podcast episodes. However, it cannot be used with videos marked as mature or made for kids. (اليوم السابع)
