تخصيص مبدئي للترميم وخليل يطالب الحكومة بتحمل مسؤولياتها

MP Ali Hassan Khalil affirmed, in a statement from inside the Parliament, the importance of the government fully undertaking its responsibilities regarding the issuance of a decision regulating the process of renovation and reconstruction. He pointed out that this decision has been included in the Cabinet’s agenda twice in a row, but has not yet been approved.

Khalil added that the insistence of the majority of participating MPs, in addition to the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc and the Development and Liberation Bloc, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, led to the allocation of funds for renovation in the first phase. He stressed that the discussion was responsible, and that the MPs unanimously agreed during it on the accuracy, sensitivity and importance of this file in promoting social stability for all Lebanese. He pointed out that part of this amount will be allocated to provide shelter.

For his part, MP Hassan Fadlallah, a member of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, stated that it is the government’s duty to secure the necessary financial appropriations for the reconstruction file. He pointed out that the Parliament has started the first step in the reconstruction process. He stressed that “the Lebanese state cannot remain a spectator or wait for external funding to start practical steps in this field.”
