شحادة: التكنولوجيا ضرورة حتمية لتسيير أمور المواطنين

In the presence of prominent political and religious figures and the town’s residents, the Minister of Displaced Persons and Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Kamal Shehadeh, participated in the launch ceremony of the website for the municipality of Beit Shabab Al-Shawiya – Quneitra. Among those present were: the head of the Lebanese Kataeb Party, MP Sami Gemayel, the Patron of the Maronite Archdiocese of Antelias, Bishop Antoine Bou Najm, former MP Eddie Maalouf, the Mayor, Maurice Gabriel, and members of the Municipal Council.

In his speech, Shehadeh stated that “this step reflects a genuine desire on the part of the municipality to keep pace with digital development and provide modern and effective services to citizens,” and explained that “the new website is supported by artificial intelligence technologies and enjoys high security standards, making it an advanced model at the level of municipal work in Lebanon.”

Shehadeh also emphasized that “technology is no longer an additional option, but has become a necessity to manage people’s affairs faster and more transparently,” adding: “This project confirms the ability of municipalities to innovate.”

Finally, Shehadeh pointed out “the importance of generalizing this experience,” considering that “what we are witnessing today should become a model to be followed in all municipalities, because the adoption of digital solutions contributes to consolidating trust between the citizen and institutions, enhances the principle of transparency and provides easier and more advanced services.”
