The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, left the capital, Beirut, at exactly 10:25 AM today, heading to the Sultanate of Oman on an official two-day visit. This visit comes in response to a gracious invitation from Sultan Haitham bin Tariq.

The President is accompanied by a high-level official delegation, including the Ministers of: Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Youssef Rajji, National Defense Major General Michel Mansi, Interior and Municipalities Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Hajjar, Agriculture Nizar Hani, and Public Health Dr. Rakan Nasser El-Din.

In a separate context, President Aoun received the Director General of General Security, Major General Hassan Shqair, where the current security situation in the country was reviewed, in addition to discussing the efforts of General Security in maintaining security and stability within the scope of its responsibilities.

The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated last Sunday that “In embodiment of the existing brotherly relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Lebanese Republic, and in order to enhance joint cooperation between them in all that would achieve further growth and prosperity in the service of the interests of the two countries and in a way that achieves their aspirations and hopes, President Joseph Aoun, President of the Lebanese Republic, will pay an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman on Tuesday and Wednesday, corresponding to the ninth and tenth of December 2025.”

The ministry added: “During this visit, consultation and coordination will take place between the two leaderships in a way that contributes to strengthening joint Arab action, and discussing various developments on the regional and international arenas.”
