The newspaper “ZDNet” indicated that cybersecurity experts at Google discovered 107 vulnerabilities in the “Android Open Source Project (AOSP)” system in early December, stating that these vulnerabilities affect all versions from Android 13 to Android 16.
Google announced on December 5th the release of new updates aimed at addressing these vulnerabilities and protecting users.
According to the newspaper, some vulnerabilities are considered serious, while two vulnerabilities, “CVE-2025-48633” and “CVE-2025-48572,” were classified as extremely dangerous, and the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) was notified about them. For this reason, Google and technology experts appealed to Android users to download and install the security update immediately.
Specialists at “ZDNet” explained that security vulnerabilities with a severe impact often target the Android system kernel, and cybercriminals can exploit them to hack victims’ devices and obtain extended privileges in the operating system, allowing them to control the device or access its data.
