
Netanyahu added that he discussed with the German Chancellor mechanisms to end Hamas’ control over the Gaza Strip, considering that “an essential element to ensure the future of Israel and Gaza together.”
He also pointed out that the first step of the ceasefire agreement was achieved “thanks to military action” and the pressure exerted by US President Donald Trump, adding that the next stage will be “more complicated.”
Netanyahu accused Israel of “being subjected to an unprecedented campaign of incitement and distortion,” and affirmed his country’s rejection of the establishment of any Palestinian state “dedicated to the destruction of Israel.”
He concluded his speech by saying: “We believe that there is a path to achieving broader peace with Arab countries.”
