وأصدرت هيئة الرقابة على الاتصالات الروسية “روسكومنادزور” بيانًا يفيد بأن منصة Roblox “تحتوي على محتوى غير مناسب قد يؤثر سلبًا على النمو الفكري والأخلاقي للأطفال”.
من جانبها، صرحت شركة Roblox قائلة: “نحترم القوانين واللوائح المحلية في جميع البلدان التي نعمل فيها، ونؤمن بأن Roblox توفر بيئة إيجابية للتعلم والإبداع والتواصل البنّاء”.
كما أكدت الشركة أنها تولي “السلامة على رأس أولوياتها، وتمتلك مجموعة قوية من التدابير الوقائية والاستباقية للكشف عن المحتوى الضار ومنعه على منصتنا”.
ويأتي هذا الحظر في الوقت الذي وصل فيه عدد المستخدمين النشطين يوميًا إلى أكثر من 151.5 مليون مستخدم في الربع الثالث من العام الحالي.
ومن الجدير بالذكر أن Roblox تم حظرها أيضًا في بعض الدول مثل العراق وتركيا، بسبب مخاوف تتعلق باستغلال المنصة من قبل متحرشين للتسبب في أذى للأطفال.
Russia has restricted access to the children’s gaming platform “Roblox,” citing the presence of “inappropriate content.”
The Russian communications watchdog Roskomnadzor issued a statement stating that the Roblox platform “contains inappropriate content that may negatively affect the intellectual and moral development of children.”
For its part, Roblox stated: “We respect local laws and regulations in all countries where we operate, and we believe that Roblox provides a positive environment for learning, creativity, and constructive communication.”
The company also affirmed that it places “safety at the top of its priorities and has a strong set of preventive and proactive measures to detect and prevent harmful content on our platform.”
This ban comes at a time when the number of daily active users has reached more than 151.5 million users in the third quarter of this year.
It is worth noting that Roblox has also been banned in some countries, such as Iraq and Turkey, due to concerns about the platform being exploited by molesters to cause harm to children.
