This feature, called “Call Reason”, allows the caller to choose a brief description of the call, such as indicating that it is an urgent call. When the caller presses the call button, this description appears below the recipient’s name and remains recorded in the call history even if the call is not answered. This feature relies on both parties using the native Phone app and being saved in each other’s contact list, to ensure safe use and reduce the possibility of exploitation by unknown parties.
This feature is of great importance because it helps users quickly determine the importance of the call, reducing missed opportunities or delays in responding, especially in emergencies. It can also have practical uses in the daily lives of parents, employees and colleagues, by clarifying the nature of the call in advance, making communication smoother and reducing the anxiety associated with surprise calls.
Currently, the feature is still in the testing phase and offers only one option to classify the call as urgent, but it is expected to add multiple options or custom texts in the future. (Eram News)
