
The diplomat explained that the United States will not allow Israel to launch a major attack on Iran at the present time, in order to preserve its plans regarding the Gaza file and the political situation that it seeks to establish in the current period.
He also pointed out that Tehran continues to escalate and ignores international warnings, coinciding with increasing tension in both Lebanon and the West Bank, which puts the region in front of more complex and sensitive scenarios.
The source warned of the possibility of expanding the scope of tension on the Lebanese front after the killing of Haitham Tabatabai, a leader in Hezbollah, stressing that the nature of the mutual reactions may lead to unexpected escalation.
The diplomat concluded by saying that Israel has the right to act if Hezbollah tries to resume its activities in southern Lebanon.
