إيران ترد: لسنا طرفًا في التدخل بل من يفرض إملاءاته على لبنان

The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced today that “talk of Iranian interference in Lebanese affairs is meaningless,” stressing that Lebanese issues are an internal matter for the Lebanese alone.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Ismail Baghaei, stated that “the parties actually interfering in Lebanese affairs are those who dictate decisions and deadlines to Lebanon and the various components of Lebanese society and the Lebanese government,” adding that Iran has always followed the path of friendship and support for the Lebanese people and will continue to do so.

In a related context, Baghaei accused Israel of not respecting any agreements and sabotaging peace efforts in Lebanon, considering that Israel exploited the ceasefire agreement to launch more attacks.

It is worth noting that the ceasefire agreement between Hezbollah and Israel came into effect on November 27, 2024, and the Israeli army was scheduled to complete its withdrawal from the areas it seized in southern Lebanon by January 26.

However, Israel did not adhere to the deadline and maintained its military presence in 5 strategic locations in the south of the country, in addition to carrying out sporadic air strikes under the pretext of “protecting the northern settlements,” while Lebanon affirms its complete rejection of these attacks and demands their immediate cessation.
