مارتينوس للبابا: التصريحات التي أدليت بها في تركيا يجب أن تُسمع في لبنان أيضاً

أعلن نقيب المحامين في بيروت، عماد مرتينوس، عبر صفحته على “فايسبوك”، عن ترحيبه بزيارة البابا لاوون الرابع عشر المرتقبة إلى لبنان، واصفًا قداسته بأنه “الزائر الاستثنائي” و”رسول الحوار وحسن الجوار والسلام”.

وأوضح مرتينوس أن زيارة البابا “يجمع الشتات، ويقرّب القلوب، ويُبعد الذنوب ويرجئ الحروب”، مشددًا على حاجة جميع اللبنانيين، سواء كانوا مؤمنين أم متشككين، مسيحيين أم مسلمين، مقيمين أم مغتربين، إلى الاستماع إلى كلماته في هذا العالم الذي يعاني من الصراعات والانقسامات.

وأكد على أن البابا قد أطلق في تركيا تصريحات مهمة يجب أن تُسمع أيضًا في لبنان، مشيرًا بشكل خاص إلى دعوته إلى تحقيق الوحدة الحقيقية، وتجنب استخدام الأديان كأسباب للحروب، وأهمية “المعرفة المتبادلة”. ورأى أن نصيحة البابا: “إعرف قريبك وغريمك، إعرف منه بدل أن تعرف عنه، إسمع منه بدل أن تسمع عنه، صافحه بدل أن تلعنه”، تمثل حجر الزاوية لوحدة اللبنانيين في سبيل بناء دولة قوية تحافظ على حريتهم ووجودهم.

وفي ختام رسالته، أكد مرتينوس أن زيارة البابا هي بمثابة نعمة في هذه الظروف الصعبة التي يمر بها لبنان، معبرًا عن أمله في أن تكون هذه الزيارة بمثابة تنبيه وإيقاظ للجميع، في الداخل والخارج، “فتتوقف الاعتداءات، وتُنهى الاحتلالات، ويسود الاستقرار”.

The head of the Beirut Bar Association, Imad Mrad, announced on his “Facebook” page his welcoming of Pope Laoon XIV’s anticipated visit to Lebanon, describing His Holiness as the “exceptional visitor” and “the messenger of dialogue, good neighborliness, and peace.”

Mrad clarified that the Pope’s visit “gathers the diaspora, brings hearts closer, removes sins, and postpones wars,” stressing the need for all Lebanese people, whether believers or skeptics, Christians or Muslims, residents or expatriates, to listen to his words in this world suffering from conflicts and divisions.

He emphasized that the Pope had made important statements in Turkey that should also be heard in Lebanon, pointing specifically to his call to achieve true unity, avoid using religions as reasons for wars, and the importance of “mutual knowledge.” He considered that the Pope’s advice: “Know your neighbor and your rival, know from him instead of knowing about him, listen to him instead of listening about him, shake his hand instead of cursing him,” represents the cornerstone for the unity of the Lebanese in order to build a strong state that preserves their freedom and existence.

In conclusion of his message, Mrad affirmed that the Pope’s visit is a blessing in these difficult circumstances that Lebanon is going through, expressing his hope that this visit will serve as an alert and awakening for everyone, at home and abroad, “so that the attacks stop, the occupations end, and stability prevails.”
