Syrian Minister of Information: Israel Trying to Entrap Syria into War through "Miscalculations".

Syrian Minister of Information “Hamza al-Mustafa” announced, while inspecting the Beit Jann area, that Israel has deliberately targeted the military capabilities of the Syrian state in recent months, explaining that it has carried out more than 500 land incursions and more than 1,000 air raids inside Syrian territory.

Al-Mustafa added that Israel is making a serious mistake in believing that it can impose new equations on the ground through its continued attacks, stressing that there will be no security agreement with Israel before it completely withdraws from all occupied Syrian territories.

The minister also clarified that Israel must withdraw from all the territories it has occupied since last December, and pointed out that Syria is committed to all agreements in force and will not give up any part of its territory.

Al-Mustafa affirmed that Syria does not seek to be a source of threat to neighboring countries, and is not in a military position that allows it to open new fighting fronts, pointing out that the current priority is to focus on achieving development and improving the internal situation of the country.

In conclusion of his statements, the minister affirmed that Israel seeks to push the Syrian government towards a military confrontation through its continuous attacks and provocations, but Damascus is adhering to its political and diplomatic options at this stage.
