إطلاق مرتقب لميزة جديدة من "غوغل"

Google is currently experimenting with a new feature in the “Android 17” operating system, a feature that aims to enable users to share clipboard content between their various devices. This move is an attempt by Google to emulate the “Universal Clipboard” feature offered by Apple for years.

This new feature, which is still under development, aims to enable users to copy text or links from an Android phone and paste them directly onto another device linked to the same user account, such as a tablet or a computer running Chrome OS. Through this feature, Google seeks to improve integration between its devices and facilitate users’ transition between different platforms without the need to use additional applications.

Despite the similarity to Apple’s experience, the beta version of this feature is still limited; it is limited to transferring text and links only. Images, videos, and large files are not currently supported, but it is expected that the capabilities of this feature will be expanded in the future.

This feature has already appeared in some beta versions of “Android 17” and has also been integrated into google play services components since last November, indicating that Google has been developing it for a long time, but without officially announcing the final name or the specific date of its launch.

This step is part of Google’s ongoing efforts to improve the ease of use of the Android system and enhance integration between its various devices. Although the lack of multimedia support is a temporary challenge, it is expected to be resolved in the final version of this feature. (Eram News)
