الحرس الثوري الإيراني يهدد بالانتقام لاغتيال الطبطبائي

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced on Monday that Israel will pay the price for the assassination of Hezbollah leader, Ali Haitham al-Tabatabai, confirming that “a devastating response awaits the aggressor at the appointed time.”

According to Tasnim News Agency, the Revolutionary Guard issued a statement condemning the assassination of al-Tabatabai in the southern suburb of Beirut, describing the operation as a “brutal crime.” The statement added that the operation “constitutes a violation of the ceasefire,” stressing that “the right of the axis of resistance and Hezbollah to avenge the blood of the Mujahideen is reserved, and the terrorist aggressor will face a devastating response at the appointed time.”

It is noteworthy that Israel assassinated Haitham al-Tabatabai on Sunday in an airstrike that resulted in the death of five people. This is the fifth strike targeting the southern suburb since the ceasefire agreement came into effect a year ago. The Israeli army announced that “the Air Force carried out a strike in the Beirut area that resulted in the death of Haitham Ali al-Tabatabai, Chief of Staff of Hezbollah,” while Hezbollah announced the martyrdom of four of its members with him in the same strike.

For his part, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed that the operation was “precise and successful,” and affirmed that “the State of Israel will not allow Hezbollah to rebuild its strength or threaten its security again,” and also called on the Lebanese government to “fulfill its commitment to disarming Hezbollah.”
