Meta has announced a new addition that allows users to invite acquaintances to virtual meetings within three-dimensional spaces designed with “Hyperscape” technology within the “Meta Horizon” platform. These spaces can accommodate up to 8 people, provided they are over 18 years old and have an invitation link.
This feature is available on “Meta Quest 3” and “3S” headsets, as well as the “Meta Horizon” app on “Android” and “iOS” phones, allowing anyone to join from any device. This step comes as part of a broader plan by Meta to make the metaverse world more accessible and easier to use.
This feature relies on “Hyperscape Capture” technology, which enables the user to scan real spaces and convert them into virtual copies, giving gatherings a more realistic character, including the ability to create a digital copy of the actual home.
Meta is currently rolling out the invitation option gradually and plans to increase the number of participants in virtual meetings in the future.
