The IDF Spokesperson, Avichai Adraee, announced on his “X” account, saying: “Unveiled: In a special operation by IDF and Shin Bet forces, the Hamas operative Marwan al-Hams was arrested, who was an accomplice in the killing of Lieutenant Hadar Goldin and is suspected of knowing the location of Goldin’s burial in the tunnel in Rafah.”
He also stated that “During July 2025, during a special operation by IDF forces in the Southern Command and the Shin Bet, the Hamas operative Marwan al-Hams was arrested.”
He continued, explaining that “Al-Hams participated in identifying the killing of Lieutenant Hadar Goldin and is suspected of knowing the location of Goldin’s burial inside the tunnel in the Rafah area.”
He concluded his statements by saying: “The special arrest operation came as part of dozens of special operations carried out over the past six months, in addition to the extensive efforts made to return Hadar to Israel’s grave.”
