The WABetainfo team noticed this feature in the latest beta update and confirmed the presence of strong evidence of it in the application’s code.
The new feature allows switching between accounts directly from the settings menu, while maintaining the independence of each account in terms of messages and settings. This is an important development that users have long awaited, especially since WhatsApp was limited to linking one application to only one account, which prompted many to use modified versions or “WhatsApp Business” as an alternative.
The appearance of this feature coincides with WhatsApp’s work on the username feature, which has not yet been widely released. There is no official information yet about the specific date for the arrival of multi-account support to all users, but expectations indicate the possibility of its launch before the end of this year.
These updates come in the context of Meta’s endeavor to transform WhatsApp into a more integrated social platform, as it has begun testing types of advertisements within the application and developing features to expand its role to include other aspects beyond just instant messaging.
