The statement also stated: “The Deputy Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament conveyed the warm greetings of the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, to the Foreign Minister and senior officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and explained his views on the political and security developments in Lebanon and the region. He emphasized the efforts of all components of the Lebanese government and all the people of this country to strengthen cohesion and unity in the face of continuous threats and violations of the ceasefire by the occupying Zionist entity, and expressed his appreciation for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s support for Lebanon.”
The statement clarified that “In this meeting, the Foreign Minister praised the steadfastness and resilience of the Lebanese people in the face of military aggression and threats from the Zionist entity, and described the role of the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, in preserving Lebanese national unity and understanding in the face of the Zionist enemy’s attacks and deception as a distinguished and valuable role.”
The statement continued: “Araghchi pointed to the continued aggression and threats of the Zionist entity against Lebanon, and its repeated violations of the ceasefire, stressing the importance of vigilance and unity of the Lebanese government, people, and political factions in protecting the national sovereignty of Lebanon and the integrity of its territory.”
The statement also emphasized that “The Foreign Minister affirmed the continued support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the Lebanese government, people, and resistance, and the continuation of consultations with influential countries in the region to confront the hegemony of the Zionist entity.”
The statement concluded by noting that “Araghchi affirmed the determination of the Islamic Republic of Iran to strengthen bilateral relations with the Lebanese government in all areas of interest to both countries.”
