غوغل تعزّز إمكانيات "وضع الذكاء الاصطناعي" الخاص بالمسافرين

Google announced the launch of a new update to the artificial intelligence feature in search, under the name “AI Mode,” which allows users in the United States to create detailed travel plans using the “Create with Canvas” feature.

Users can now describe their upcoming trip within the AI Mode, and the system will build an integrated travel program in a side panel. This program includes information on flights and hotels, as well as personalized suggestions based on user preferences, photos, and ratings from Google Maps. These plans are automatically saved in the AI Mode history for easy reference later.

The system also allows improving the plan by adding questions or updates, such as requesting suggestions for specific hotels based on prices and services, or suggesting specific activities based on travel time. This step comes after “Canvas” – which was launched in March as a dynamic work platform for displaying instant programming results or updated study plans – became an essential part of the AI Mode in search, which expands the scope of smart planning benefits to include a larger segment of Google search engine users.

In a related context, Google announced the expansion of the scope of tasks that can be accomplished through automatic booking based on artificial intelligence. The company has begun providing automatic restaurant booking service to all users in the United States, with a list of options and links to complete the booking through partners such as: “OpenTable”, “Resy”, “Tock”, “Ticketmaster”, “SeatGeek”, and others.

Google also revealed new partnerships with hotel companies and global booking platforms, including: “booking.com”, “expedia”, and “Marriott International”, in preparation for launching automatic booking capabilities for flights and hotels.

The company announced the expansion of the AI-powered flight deals search feature within the “Google Flights” service, which has already begun to spread globally to include more than 200 countries and regions, with support for more than 60 languages.

Analysts believe that integrating booking and planning tools into the search engine may pose a major challenge to traditional digital travel companies. With Google’s strong entry into this field, the need to use multiple platforms such as “Kayak” and “Expedia” may decrease, especially with Google providing instant and unified plans that make the decision-making process easier for travelers.

Google aspires to provide an integrated experience that links the “Gemini” artificial intelligence models with search results and booking services in one system. This represents a remarkable shift in the way artificial intelligence is used as a personal assistant capable of creating plans, making reservations, and providing personalized recommendations at the same time, bringing users one step closer to the concept of a “complete digital assistant” within the search engine.
