“My health is good.” Trump: I don’t want to hear the term “benign tumor.”

أجاب الرئيس الأمريكي “دونالد ترامب” أحد الصحفيين في البيت الأبيض مؤكداً سلامة صحته، ورافضاً سماع أي تعبير عن “ورم حميد”.

وعندما سُئل عن حالته الصحية وسبب بحة صوته، أوضح “ترامب” بصوت متعب أنه “يشعر بحال جيدة”، وأرجع ذلك إلى إجهاد صوته بسبب توبيخ بعض المسؤولين بشأن “موضوع يتعلق بالتجارة ودولة معينة”، دون أن يحدد اسم الدولة التي أغضبته.

وتابع “ترامب” قائلاً: “كنت أصرخ على الناس لأنهم كانوا يتصرفون بغباء في موضوع له علاقة بالتجارة وبإحدى الدول، وصحّحت الوضع، لكنني فقدت أعصابي أمام هؤلاء الأشخاص”.

وأثناء حديث أحد الصحفيين معه، قال للرئيس: “إذا كان هناك متابعة صحية، أود أن أسألك عن فنزويلا”. لكن “ترامب” فهم كلمة “متابعة” بشكل خاطئ وظنّها تشير إلى عبارة “ورم حميد” باللغة الإنجليزية، فقاطع الصحفي قائلاً: “هل قلت ورم حميد؟… لا أريد سماع ذلك إطلاقاً”.

When asked about his health and the reason for his hoarse voice, Trump explained in a tired voice that he “feels good,” attributing it to straining his voice by scolding some officials about “a matter related to trade and a certain country,” without specifying the name of the country that angered him.

Trump continued, “I was yelling at people because they were acting stupidly on a subject related to trade and a country, and I corrected the situation, but I lost my temper with those people.”

While a journalist was speaking to him, he said to the President: “If there is a health follow-up, I would like to ask you about Venezuela.” But Trump misunderstood the word “follow-up” and thought it referred to the phrase “benign tumor” in English, so he interrupted the journalist, saying: “Did you say benign tumor? … I don’t want to hear that at all.”
