David Lisnard, the mayor of Cannes, France, reported that the police arrested a person who made an explicit threat to blow up a synagogue in the city via social media.

This individual appeared in a live broadcast on the “X” platform, threatening to buy explosives and carry out an attack targeting a synagogue in Cannes, before the recording was removed. Lisnard explained that he immediately informed the police, and pointed out that the suspect, who is a resident of a nearby town, נמצא حاليا رשותهم (is currently in their custody).

Lisnard praised the rapid response of the security forces and their immediate handling of this threat.
