Google has announced its intention to invest $40 billion in Texas by 2027. This investment aims to create a new facility specializing in cloud computing and artificial intelligence, the latest announcement in a series of technology investments in the US state, which has become an attractive destination for such projects.
Google said in an official statement that these large funds will be directed to finance the construction of new data centers in the northern region of the state, and will also enhance “the company’s more than 15-year presence in Texas.” The company added: “Our latest investment in Texas is not limited to supporting the workforce and facilities in the state, but also aims to ensure that the United States maintains the technological foundation necessary to remain at the forefront of artificial intelligence globally.” (Sky News Arabia)
